You're not burned out because you're doing too much.
You’re burned out because your body has been stuck in survival mode for so long, it has forgotten that the emergency is over.

Here's something nobody tells you when you're "doing all the right things": you can have the morning routine, the supplements, the journal, the vision board, the podcast rotation, the breathwork app you opened twice, and a beautifully color-coded planner, and you still wake up some mornings feeling like you're already zapped before your feet even hit the floor.

That's not a willpower problem. That's not a scheduling problem. That's a body/nervous system that hasn't felt genuinely safe in so long, it's forgotten what "okay" actually feels like.

When you're running with a cup that leaks, and a lot of us are without even realizing it, you can't dream properly. You can't rest properly. You can't show up fully for the people, the work, or the life you actually want because there's... nothing left.

Most of what you've tried has likely been focused from the neck up. But your body? Your body has been running a completely different program this whole time.

Here's what that may have looked like in real life:

  • You snap at someone you love and immediately feel rotten about it. You know you overreacted, but simply couldn't seem to stop it.
  • You sit down to do the thing you said you were going to do, and instead you reorganize your email, stress-eat something you didn't want, and then inevitably feel guilty about it all.
  • You get the quiet moment you've been craving all week, and instead of feeling peaceful, you feel weirdly anxious. Like your body forgot how to just... be.
  • You've read enough books to teach a masterclass on nervous system regulation. You can explain cortisol at a dinner party. And you still can't get yourself to bed before midnight.

It isn't a mindset or discipline problem either.

This is what it looks like when your internal alarm system has been going off so long, it stopped feeling like an alarm. It simply became background noise. That low hum you grew used to.

And slowly over time it became the new baseline that one day you didn't even realize you accepted it as how things are now. Worse, it becomes how we accept who we are now.

What stings a little (or a lot)? The harder you push, the louder it gets.

Unfortunately, (but fortunately), you can't white-knuckle your way to calm. You can't willpower your way into a nervous system that feels safe. And you absolutely can't think your way out of a state your body keeps pulling you back into.

I can assure you though that you're not failing at self-improvement. It's only that you've been applying the right solutions...to the wrong problem.

But what if *this summer* felt different? Even by a little, and certainly better, if for once you actually had something your tank.

What would you do with that? Would you finally start the thing you've been putting off? The hobby, the side project, the book that's been living in your head for three years? Could you actually be present with your family instead of just physically in the room?

Hi Friend, my name is Debbi 

I built this work from a particularly rough patch of my own life where nothing I knew was working for me either.

I've got the background — the training, the certifications, the methodology I spent years developing. But that's not only why I do this.

I do this because I know what it feels like to be the person in the room who looks like she has it together and is privately wondering when the wheels are going to come off. What it's like to understand something completely and still be unable to change it.

I know what it's like to feel like your body is working against you wired and tired at the same time, one moment fine, one moment hijacked by something you can't even name.

And then to finally, finally have something click. Not because you thought harder or wanted it more. But because something shifted down below, in the places where the heart of what matters lives.

That's the work I do with people now.

It's not about necessarily giving you more strategies or frameworks; especially if you're not able to execute on those to start with. And it's certainly not another version of "decide who you want to be and act like them."

We start where change actually starts: in the body, in the nervous system, in the conditions that make everything else either possible or impossible.

When we learn how to improve those conditions? The rest of it stops being a fight.
